NEW H. Upmann Connossieur No.2

NEW H. Upmann Connossieur No.2

The presented cigar format has been given the production name “Bohemio”. With a length of 134 mm and a ring gauge of 51, this slightly enlarged Robustos is unique in the Habanos range, as it heralds the first time ever that a Vitola with a ring gauge of 51 is featured in the Habanos range. With the name H.Upmann Connossieur No.2, it complements the Connossieur series of the traditional brand, which was launched in 1844.

Connoisseur No.1 was introduced in the 1960s, at that time with the correct spelling of the French word meaning “aficionado” or “gourmet”. Why the “i” now stands behind the double s is not known; the same spelling has been used for the two formats Connossieur A and B; Both are exclusively available only in the Casas del Habano and at Habanos Specialists.

The brand H.Upmann has a special relationship to Germany. Its founder Hermann Hupmann was a banker from Germany who appreciated Cuban cigars so much that he moved to Havana in 1844, where he worked as a banker and cigar maker. His bank had to close shortly after 1920, but his cigars live on to this day as an excellent example of a Habano of light to medium-bodied taste. This typical taste can also be found in the new H.Upmann Connossieur No.2.
